Dump Station
The park includes a dump station for your camper/motorhome. The cost is $5 per use. You can either pay by coin (although the coin/water meter doesn’t work) at the dump station or you can use a camping envelope at the entrance of the park and submit payment there for the time being. Cash or check is accepted.
Building Rental
There are two buildings and a pavilion available to rent at the park. Rentals are first come first serve and can be rented May-September. Keys to the buildings will be given prior to the event and need to be returned Monday after the event or there will be a $5 charge per day that they are not returned. The park cannot be rented over Labor Day weekend as it is utilized for the Hawkins Harvest Festival.
The kitchen includes access to electricity, sinks, stove, counters, tables, walk-in cooler, refrigerator, and chairs to use at your discretion. It’s a great place to host a family reunion or graduation party.
The dance hall includes a beer/walk-in cooler, bar, stage, and wide open space for dancing, playing games, and etc.
The pavilion includes electricity and picnic tables – and is located outside.
The flush toilets are also opened and available for use when buildings/pavilion is rented. Note: If you notice a toilet or urinal that has constant running water, please contact a member of the Lions Club so we can remedy it.
When any/all the buildings are rented, you get access to the entire park, but keep in mind that the park is a community park, so there may be individuals utilizing the ball field or playground.
Building Rental Rates:
One building (either kitchen or dance hall) - $175 ($50 deposit is required when reservation is made. Deposit is returned once event is over and building/grounds have been accepted and approved.)
Two buildings (both kitchen and dance hall) - $300 ($50 deposit is required when reservation is made. Deposit is returned once event is over and building/grounds have been accepted and approved.)
Pavilion only – A donation is recommended to help pay for electricity/water if used.
Picnic tables – $10 per table. We ask that they are returned after the event in the same condition as when they left the park. (If there’s an event going on at the park at the same time that you want to rent a table, they may not be available or there may be limited quantity.)
Note: If you’re renting out any part of the park you can take your garbage with you when you leave, otherwise if it’s left at the park you’ll be charged $4 per garbage bag which can come out of your deposit, if applicable.

Playground
The playground includes a sandbox with toys, slide, swings, and a Little Tykes playset for younger children. We are hopeful to add more playground equipment in the future.
Ball Field
The ball field is currently utilized for a couple Flambeau teams, including t-ball and softball. The Flambeau School t-ball league has a Hawkins team and their games start in June. They play against Glen Flora, Tony, and Sheldon. Concessions are typically sold as well during the games. We are hopeful for new/updated dugouts and bleachers in the future. If you’re interested in using the ball field for a team practice, please ensure you have insurance for the team and contact Amanda or Jennifer to let them know when you’ll be using the field. Amanda Bratlie – 715-826-0500 & Jennifer Mabie – 715-415-0335.
Events
There are a variety of scheduled events at the park throughout the summer/fall months.
Hawkins Motorsports hosts events in June and over Labor Day – including mud bogs and truck and tractor pulls.
The Hawkins Harvest Festival is held at the park each Labor Day weekend, which means the park is not available to rent during this time. This festival has been happening in Hawkins for over 100 years! It is known for the famous grilled chicken, bingo, and pie! Festivities start at the park on Saturday with Hawkins Motorsports. Hawkins Motorsports events continue into Sunday – along with bingo, chicken, entertainment, kids’ games, etc. Monday (Labor Day) brings the kiddie parade and big parade through the streets of Hawkins – and folks end the day back at the park for more chicken, bingo, and pie!
Additional events, such as spaghetti feeds and other fundraisers, have been held at the park as well.
If you’re interested in volunteering at the park for events or community clean-up, please contact Amanda or Jennifer (listed above)! We’re always looking for helpers!
